How to make a website for a church

Several of you have asked me how to make a website for a church or what templates there are for a church website or a religious theme.

In this tutorial we are going to use the Salvation template to do it.

The final result that we are going to achieve is the following:

This template is incredibly easy to set up as it comes with an installer that does almost everything for us.

The first step we have to take is to install the template.

To do this we go to Appearance –> themes –> Upload theme.

We upload it, install it and activate it.

Once done, it will take us to a screen where we will have to install the necessary plugins for our website to work correctly for a church:

We install them, activate them and go to Appearance -> Theme Options –> Import/Export

We click on “Import theme options, widgets & content”

When it finishes importing we will have our entire website assembled with demo content 🙂

That easy.

The good thing about templates that come with demo content to import is that it is very easy for us to obtain the demo result.

Now, we just have to learn where to modify each part of the web.

Configure the Home on the Church website

On the main page we have the following elements:

• slider
• audio players
• Services
• Status
• Diary
• carousel

To activate or deactivate each of the previous options we have to go to Appearance –> Theme options –> Homepage

And to modify the content of each of the sections we have to select them from the left.

The elements of the home page that are not here, such as the donation box for the church, are in the widgets:

Add an Audio player for sermons

The last audio we added will appear on the home page.

How do we add it? very simple, we create a new post and we only have to add an object, like when we add an image, we just select an audio and mark in "audio" format
