Connect Mailchimp with Gravity Forms

Hey guys, in this tutorial we are going to see how to connect Gravity Forms with Mailchimp.

To do this, you'll need to install the Gravity Forms plugin and the Mailchimp extension. Although these plugins are paid, remember that in the Premium Zone you can download them for free.

If you are not subscribed to the Premium Zone you can give sign up for €10/month here

Let's get to work, the first thing we will do is install the plugins and then activate them, both the Gravity Forms plugin and the extension to connect it with Mailchimp.

We go to form and then, New Form:

You will see that it asks for the license, but if you don't have it, don't worry, it works perfectly, only you won't have automatic updates.

We must repeat this process twice since they are questions that we necessarily have to answer.

Once done we will have Gravity Formas ready to work.

Gravity forms asks us to choose a currency, in our case it will not be necessary but we will choose the Euro.

We click on Next again:

global settings

And it will tell us that our installation is complete.

Before creating a form we are going to configure our Mailchimp so that you can connect with our form and send the data to our Mailchimp account.

To do this, we go to Settings, select Mailchimp and it will ask us for our API key.

mailchimp gravity forms settings

We enter our Mailchimp account, in the upper right part we go to Profile and then to Extras:

mailchimp profile

We select API Key and if you still do not have any key created, you click on Create a key

mailchimp api

We will have the following screen:

your api keys

We copy the API key and go back to our WordPress Page to paste it.

mailchimp settings

We click on Update settings and it will be configured.

Now yes, we are going to create a form as if we were doing it normally.

I'm going to call it Mailchimp, click Create Form:

Keep in mind that in this tutorial, we're only going to look at how data is sent to our Mailchimp account.

We add three fields: Name, Likes and the most important Email, once done we click on update.

Let's go to Settings and you will see that you have the Mailchimp option. Inside there in the Feeds we click on add new and add a name followed by choosing a list of those that we already have created.

A series of fields that the list has will be displayed. Once I have it configured, I double select Opt-in and click Update Settings.

I already have it configured!!!

To try it out, I create an input I'll call Form, select Create Form and choose the name of the form I created earlier, click Publish

insert form

And I will have a beautiful form that can be integrated with mailchimp to later be able to send newsletters to my subscribers.
