Make a video sticky or sticky in WordPress

Hello guys,

Today I bring you a tutorial that can be very useful:

How to leave a fixed video in a post, so that if the user continues browsing the article, they can continue watching the video.

Here you can see the result:

Or if you want to see it live you can see it in this same article 😉

To do so you need the following plugin:

Free version

Pro version

Both work perfectly, just that with the pro version you have more customization options.

The one you are seeing on my website is the pro version, its price is 20 dollars.

Its operation is very simple, the first thing we have to do is install the plugin, once installed the configuration options will appear in Settings —> Sticky Video:

sticky video options

For me the most important are the following:

Enable on mobile

If we want it to work on mobile we leave it activated, I personally have it deactivated.

Video method selecting

By default it is always activated, if you like it that way you don't have to do anything.

It seems a bit dangerous to me, I prefer to control where it can be seen and where it cannot.

That's why I have selected the second option, which is activated with an HTML class

Specifically, I like the third option, which works as long as the video is inside a container with the class contains-sticky-video

The only thing I have to do for the plugin to work is to put the video inside the box

In my case I do the following:

<div class="contains-sticky-video">aquí va el vídeo</div>

In the pro version we can choose the place where we want the video to be sticky and what effect we want in the transition.

The truth is that I loved the plugin 🙂

Any doubt here you have me.
