This time I bring you a very simple but really powerful little trick to lighten the load on our server and get our website to load much faster.
One of the points that slow down our website the most are images. On many occasions due to ignorance we are using it at a much larger size than we visualize it. For example we have it at 1500px when we are really seeing it at 700px. The first thing we have to do is lower the resolution with our favorite program. But even so, having lowered the resolution, the photo usually weighs more than it needs and this is when the tool that I bring you today makes sense.
This tool is kraken.io. To reduce the size of the image that we want to optimize we simply have to go to the “Web Interface” menu item and we will see this image:
Where it says: "Click to upload or drop your images here" we drag the image to optimize and in the table below we can see how much the image and the link to download it have been reduced.
