Hi guys, how are you?
Today I bring you a very interesting tutorial. You may have asked yourself on more than one occasion:
How can you see your website without configuring DNS?
In this tutorial we will see how to do it in a simple way and without changing the hosts file of our computer.
Many times it happens to us that we are working on a new web page and we do not want it to be seen until it is finished; for this reason we do not configure the DNS.
The problem is that we will not be able to see it, as long as the DNS do not point to our Domain.
What way do we have to do it?
The usual way to do it was by modifying the hosts file of our computer from our terminal. We look for the file called Hosts and inside it we put the IP of the server and the domain to which we want it to point.
It is the normal and professional way to do it but in this tutorial we are going to do it in a simpler way.
Here is the video tutorial:

Let's see an example to see it more clearly, imagine that you want to add a page to your accommodation.
For this we go to our cpanel and in Additional Domains I add the domain that I want to configure:
For example, I will put marca.com (it is a domain that is clearly not mine) and I will create it in my hosting.
Once created I will install WordPress:
I select the domain that I just uploaded and complete all the data:
Once done, I click install.
Are you wondering why I do this example?
Because many times we are configuring our website, but we do not want to add the DNS that points to the hosting until we have the finished website, but on the other hand we want to work on it and we want to see it. How we do it?
Using the tool hosts.cx
Look here it asks me the IP (Server Address)
To do this I go to the cpanel of my website, look for it and copy it.
I come to the page, paste the IP and in the other box I put the domain, which for my example was https://brand.com. I tell him I am not a robot.
I click on GET MY TESTINGURL
And now I have generated a URL that is accessible from anywhere:
and here you see my page, the typical page to start with Hostgator
If I enter the administrator of our WordPress, I can enter my username, password and work with it even if I have not changed my DNS.
It is a very useful tool for this specific case that I am commenting on.
I hope you liked it, that it serves you and that you take advantage of it.
See you in the next video. Bye now!!!
