What does this have to do with creating a WordPress website?

A website continues to be a support for creating content and one of the resources that we are going to need the most are images.
We cannot use any image that we find on the internet
But it is that they have told me that if it is on the internet I can use it. It's not like that, sorry 🙁
The creator of a content must expressly say that they allow their content to be used by third parties. This is why licenses exist.
I am not going to go into an in-depth explanation of licenses, but you should know that there are two types of licenses that interest us:
- Public domain: We can use without restrictions
- Creative Commons We may use with certain restrictions. Depending on the author, it will ask us to link to it, recognize it or anything else. You can see it in each case.
Google images that I can use
If we go to the Google image search engine we can see that there is the option Tools –> Creative Commons Licenses
This option allows us to filter by images that can be reused.
Once filtered, if I click on one of the images I can see the type of license that image has:

Pixabay It is possibly the best known free image bank on the planet 😉
This does not stop it from being useful, but keep in mind that it is possible that the same image that you use to illustrate something is being used by many other blogs.
Pexels
Pexels Not so many people know about it anymore, so if you're looking for exclusive and free content, you're going to love Pexels.
It not only has free images, it also has videos. I love it.
Unsplash
Unsplash is another piece of free image bank that is not so well known. It has very special photos.
Canva.com
If you know me a little you will know that Canva It's one of my favorite design tools 😎.
Not only is it a great design tool but it also has a very good free image bank.
Also, if you use the paid version of Canva you have tons of quality photos to use. Of the tools that I pay with the greatest pleasure.
unDraw.co
unDraw.co It is not an image bank but a free illustration bank. I add it in this section because I think it can be very useful for you.
Not only can you download free illustrations but you can also customize the color before downloading.
unDraw is just brutal.
